ALMATERIA
by Kawai Eri, for Tales of
Symphonia OAV
Quick notes on this song: there have been no official lyrics released, and it's sung in what is either the most glorious glossolalia ever, or a completely made-up language that seems to draw from Japanese, Sanskrit and Korean all at once. I didn't transliterate this from a page, but transcripted it after several careful listens. You could hear something completely and utterly different to me, and that's cool, too. Couple of quick notes: the acute e (é) is pronounced like the Japanese "ei", and "ai" (like is waituno and faisi-i) is a diphthong, which means it's run together to make the sound "eye", and not sung as individual vowels, as you would in Japanese.

Almateria
[1] - absolutely and definitely
sounds like English.
[2] - pronounced "Shirubaranto", which is how Sylvarant
is written in katakana. Coincidence? I think not!
[3] - sang as "arumateria", Japanese pronunciation of,
er, almateria. Said word is probably made from the Latin roots
"alma" - nuturing, and "materia" - substance,
matter. So, basically, nourishing matter. Perhaps mana, in this
instance?
[4] - sang as "Teseara", which is how Tethe'alla is
written in katakana. See above...
